Whenever there’s a new music, there’s a new way of listening. And whenever there’s a new way of listening, there are new musics that follow from that. And people start listening differently – that can either mean in different places or at different volumes or in different social groups or through different technologies.

When the industrial revolution happened there was the Luddistic movement, and there was a fear that machinery would replace all the labor. Whenever we had a technological revolution we had this fear. As you’re implying, there’s a new technology that can look even deeper into that brick and we can start getting into a level where it breaks down so that the brick isn’t even there, but obviously it is because Moe can hit Curly on the head with it. It’s quite bizarre and all relative.
